Taking Any Given Sunday

It's a bummer when my DSLR run's out of battery. Some photos here are taken using my pocket cam. I hope your weekend was as chilled as mine. I would like to thank Adrian for taking me to the beach as well.=)

Here's a superb song for you to start your week:

Video Of The Week

Thanks to Irene Chan who tagged me on a Facebook post to this not-much-of-a-life-changing video.

My respond to this video was that I laughed non stop during the first few minutes. Then, I actually paid attention at this hypnotizing dance. My attention diverted from the dance to wondering if he was actually wearing undies. A bit after, I was thinking that he has such long, long hair. I'm guessing that if my hair was to be as long as that, may be I should do a dance video, post it on you tube, preferably semi naked of course (people might mistake my hair as a high fashion cape, hence, considered as clothes).

This video had 53,424 viewers, okeyhh. Hmm. I'd also have to grow a beard and a mustache. Then again, I am not too sure if my moves are as groovy as his.

I have another awesome video to share. Not too sure if you can see this, it's on Facebook. But here's the link anyway.

Enjoy your weekend party beasts!

The Invasion of Madonna and Lady Gaga

Good news for fans of Madonna and Lady Gaga. They have finally arrived in Kuching, Sarawak.

Professional impersonators from the United Kingdom will be here to entertain for 2 nights only. This event will be held this weekend (2nd-3rd July) and it is called the BORNEO FUNK FEST 2010. This 2 day long event will be held at Grand Margherita (for those who left Kuching for quite sometime, it is formally known as the Holiday Inn).

This is the closest we can get to Lady Gaga and Madonna without splurging. Local and international DJ's will also be featuring for party animals, plus there will be tons of activities and prizes to be won. You can also show the public your talent and stand a chance to win cash prizes up to RM1000 for the BFF Ambassador Search. There will also be 'helicopter rides' for the paying public as this event is sponsored by Hornbill Skyways.

You can get your tickets at the lobby of Grand Margherita at RM50 onwards.

For more information on this event click here:

Hope to see you guys there and turn up the funk.

Much love,

Just My Luck

My friend Merlvyn Kho just won 2 tickets to Saosin's Live in Malaysia Concert and had asked me to come with him. But, sadly I have to pass this opportunity since my studies are standing in the way.*Sigh* Damn. But then again, I have to say that the thought of how thoughtful he was to even ask me brightens up my day.

Pffffft. *&%^$#@^*$!@#&*!!!!!!!!!

Bring Me Back My Metal

Okay okay... So I have been in a sentimental mood recently. Haaaa.... You got a problem with that? Bite me. I happen to have an old soul okay? But I so happen to enjoy my Metal. Heck, the last gig I went to was Sarawak Metal Force which was right before Christmas '09 and the last concert I went to was Soilwork. Ngggaaaaaa.... I so want to go to Lamb of God. I AM DYING TO GO. Then again, priorities are siding on my studies. Okay Lamb of God, I think I may have to let you go. For now. My last year in college, this year. I have to finish what I started, like it or not. Anyways, I can't complain much since my life has been pretty much great since last Christmas.

I'm going to post you this effin' awesome number from Amon Amarth, the video is epic. Epic.*Warning: This video is not for the faint hearted. This ain't no jazz. You have been warned.

Another favourite of mine is Ratamahatta, from Sepultura (when Max was still in it of course). I just love these beats. Plus they perform awesome LIVE.

Where are your horns at?

This Guy's In Love With You

I have ran out of words, so I am allowing music to do the expressing for me. Allow me to put up this song beautifully written by Burt Bacharach and sung by Herp Albert for you. Slow dance with me to this song, will you?

The Ghost Of You

The skies are bleaker than ever. Tonight my Luna would not even pay me a visit. I wonder why. Where could she possibly have gone to? Not even her friends are out to play. Drowned in my own silence, I start to think of "him". His ghost is everywhere. Have I lost my mind? How possible it was for me to start imagining things. As I recalled these past 3 days, the skies kept on weeping, thus leaving me feeling melancholic, and rather somber. My life is no melodrama; there is no need for exaggerations and involving stereotypical characters in it. But why oh why, am I having this uneasy feeling. I could not possibly be sad. No. I am rather quite the opposite. I am actually quite content with everything in my life. Could I possibly be lonely? Nah, I must be out of my mind to even be capable of thinking that as a possibility. I am in love and beautifully loved by "him". Looking back, yesterday I was in my best mood; singing and humming to Julie London, dancing and prancing whenever I felt like doing so. "What troubles you, love?" he kindly asks today, seeing I was not my usual chirpy self. There was none, (problem/ trouble) really, that I could think of to feed his curiosity. Ah, never mind, never mind, never mind. Maybe my life is melodramatic after all.

On a lighter note, do enjoy this:

This song has been stuck in my head for days, aside from Julie London's,"Fly Me to the Moon. "I Can't Smile Without You by Barry Manilow. I was out one night on a Karaoke season with "Him" and my best friend, J. It was the night of my birthday, right after a splendid dinner. All three of us belted out to this song, and I could not stop humming to this ever since. I brutally enjoy Metal but believe me, I do appreciate and love the Classics.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Oh Julie, you take my breath away......

Hello there.

I spent my Sunday with Julie London.

An entire day listening to her smoky voice. She seems to make time waltz by so slowly. She's someone whom I truly admire. A woman with class, sophistication, elegance and whoa..what a voice!...

This particular song is constantly on playback...

She does remind me of Jessica Rabbit... the sultry, sexy bombshell who happens to be Roger Rabbit's wife..

If I could be a cartoon character... I would so00.... want to be her...*wishful thinking*

Other then the 1950's and 60's, an era which I am keen about is The Victorian Era ... Ah. What I would give, to live in those days. The puffy wide dresses, the gentlemen, the horses, carriages, the "extravagance" of everything during this particular time, especially the language.

Here's a quote from a Victorian English Novelist, Charles Dickens which I adore;

“ You know what I am going to say. I love you. What other men may mean when they use that expression, I cannot tell; what I mean is, that I am under the influence of some tremendous attraction which I have resisted in vain, and which over masters me. You can draw me to fire, you can draw me to water, you can draw me to the gallows, you can draw me to any death, you can draw me to anything I have most avoided, you can draw me to any exposure and disgrace. This and the confusion of my thoughts, so that I am fit for nothing, is what I mean by your being the ruin of me. But if you would return a favourable answer to offer of myself in marriage, you can draw me to any good- every good- with equal force”, ( from the novel, Our Mutual Friend).

Until we meet again =),
