Why It's Okay To Be Alone

There was a point in my life when I decided to go everywhere alone, did everything alone because I was so sick of having the need to have someone by my side at all times. Instead of looking for friends to accompany me shop, hang out, eat, I brought a book instead.

I also challenged myself to not play with my phone.

I observed what's around me better, (maybe it's because I just got new glasses, I donno) smiled at strangers, basically just admired everything around me (people, sky, clouds, birds, bird shit etc)

I was happy. HAPPY. Hee. I like this word a lot.

One fine rainy day I went out for dinner (With whom? Alone la) while waiting for my food, a guy came up to me and asked what I was reading.

It is just so rare to have a guy ask me that. Usually it's "Hey, nice shoes", " I like your shirt" or the classic "You're Natasha from hitz right?"

This guy defo got my attention. (sfx: wolf whistle) Andddd after a few dates later he managed to capture my heart. We're still going strong till this very day.

Moral of the story? Eat alone. Or is it bring a book wherever you go? Eh, or maybe just bring a book when you go out to eat.

You decide.

Thanks for reading, sending out virtual hugs to you now because I can.

The Pursuit of Happiness

Hey you,

I stumbled upon a pretty interesting book the other day at the bookstore.  The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. Bought it right away.

The next day I was buried in it during my flight to Cebu, Philippines. Read it whenever I could. I love it. I'm not even close to finishing the book, but I decided to have go at making my life a whole lot better but actually practicing a few things in it.

Gretchen Rubin

Today I'm going to start with these 2 first:

1. Make my bed each morning

2. Follow the "one- minute rule"- make myself do any chore that takes less than one minute. Hang my clothes, hang up my wet towel, wash the dishes or mugs right after use and etc.

Looks like a piece of cake right? Not when you are a serial procrastinator like me.

I'll try my best. Hope you had a great day.

Spiderwebs

Hey you,

I apologize for not pouring just as much as I used to. Quite surprised that there are still people reading this blog of mine.

It’s been 4 years I have been a radio announcer. Been so busy with work and life itself that I have yet to find the time or inspiration to put it down in words. Okay, that’s kind of a lie. I have been flooding my instagram and Facebook page daily. Just, not here.

Life has been good so far. I’m still the same Natasha who always pursues love and life and the in between.

Watch this space.

I AM BACK.
